Exhibits must be staged by 5:00pm Friday March 20th.
Judging commences 6:00pm Friday March 20th.

Paper doily or plate for sponge. Cakes not to be iced except where mentioned.
All exhibits must be placed on a small paper plate and covered by an oven bag.
No exhibit, except scones, to be baked on the day of judging.
THE FOLLOWING ARE POINTS THAT JUDGES GENERALLY LOOK FOR IN COOKERY EXHIBITS:
Cakes & Pastries, Packet cakes in correct classes only.
Presentation, general appearance & evenness of appearance colour & texture top & bottom, good flavour, no rack marks.
Correct choice of pastry, even glazing.
*Hint - Anodised or dark trays make cakes dark - shiny, clean aluminium trays & tins are the best choice.
Breads -Good volume & even rise, thin, crisp, golden outer crust, Fine, moist texture, good crumb & even distribution of grain.
Scones - Approximately 5cm diameter, well risen, straight side, thin golden crust top & bottom, no flour on base, fine, moist texture, good crumb, good flavour.
