National Vendor Declarations and National Animal Health Statements must also accompany entry forms.
SECTION B - BEEF CATTLE
For hardcopy form entries please use the designated Beef Cattle entry form.
Cattle Health Declaration, Animal Handling Waiver and Vendor Declarations must accompany entry forms.
Entry fees as specified for each breed.
Subscriptions and Entry Fees must be paid to Mt. Pleasant Show Society prior to judging.
Prize Money will be paid out by Stewards on day of Show. No prize money where a Trophy is donated.
All stock transport must park their vehicles as directed.
No stock to be removed from the showgrounds before 4:00pm as per Mt Pleasant Show regulations.
Conditions of Entry
1. Ages for Beef Cattle taken as at March 1st 2025
2. Calves at foot must be under 9 months as at March 1st 2025
3. Animal’s name, date of birth and tattoo ID must be on entry form
4. All animals must be registered with their relevant breed society
5. Stewards reserve the right to request proof of registration, if proof cannot be provided animals may be refused entry to show ring
6. All exhibitors must be members of the Mount Pleasant Show Society
7. All exhibits must come from properties with J-BAS6 or above
8. All entries must be tested for Pestivirus and certified as non-PI (persistently infected). Exhibitors MUST complete
section 3B on the National Cattle Health Declaration stating this testing complete.
9. Animals are only eligible to compete in one class (as an individual, ie calves at foot are not to be exhibited as
individuals)
10. All animals must have a nose lead in at all times when being led, excluding calves at foot
11. Bulls over the age of 10 months must have a nose ring
12. No bulls to be led by a parader under the age of 16
13.The Convenors reserve the right to make any changes or exceptions necessary for the betterment of the show
14. No Water Troughs Supplied. All Exhibitors to Supply Own.

Depending on entries, classes may be split into heats at Steward’s discretion. All ages are as at April 30th 2025

Winner eligible to compete in the State Beef Cattle Junior Judging Final at the Royal Adelaide Show
Judging to take place at the conclusion of all other judging.
What is a Jackpot?
A Jackpot class is a special class with a significant prize pool attached. The Mount Pleasant Show jackpot classes will be split as follows:1st: 65% of total prize pool, 2nd: 25%, 3rd: 10% with first prize in each class receiving an additional $150 from major sponsor.
How will it be judged?
· Three independent judges will assess animals and allocate points
· Points shall be allocated on basis of merit by the judges
· The exhibit gaining the highest number of points, shall be announced the winner
· In the event that two or more exhibits gain an equal number of points, following awards and placings will be taken into consideration
· Winners of the respective Jackpot classes will be announced at the conclusion of general beef cattle judging
What are the conditions of entry?
· Entry fee is $20. Late entries will be accepted up until Friday, March 15, 2025, at 5pm, but the entry fee will double
· All exhibits must be bred and owned by the exhibitor
· Animals to be drawn from general classes
· All Conditions of Entry of the Mount Pleasant Show Beef Cattle Section where relevant are applicable to the entry of
animals in the Jackpot competition
· Jackpot classes will be decided upon receipt of entries
· Exhibitors are responsible for getting their animals to the ring on time
· Three independent judges will assess the animals
· Management and control of the Jackpot Heifer Competition will be the responsibility of the Beef Cattle convenors and their decision is final
· Any exception to the entry rules must be approved by the Convenors
· The Convenors reserve the right to make any changes or exceptions necessary for the betterment of the Jackpot Show
· No refunds on entry fees
