SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL CATTLE EXHIBITORS
1. Exhibitors to adhere to space allotted by the Society.
2. Cattle judging commences as per programme.
5. All exhibitors must be members of the Mt. Pleasant Show Society.
6. All cattle to be led in the ring.
7. All ages stipulated for dairy cattle must be adhered to.
8. **All bulls over one year must be nose rung. All cattle must have nose clips when being led, except calves under 9 months at date of show.
9. Cattle Trucks use “Cattle gate” entrance before 7.00 a.m.
10. All dairy cattle please refer to “Rules and Regulations” re notification of scratchings.
11. All exhibitors refer “Rules & Regulations”, re removal of stock (paragraphs 5 & 29)
12. All exhibitors are responsible for disposal of milk. No milk to be disposed of on grounds.
No Water Troughs Supplied All Exhibitors to Supply Own.
Any breach of these rules will incur a fine of up to $100.

Dry cow to be a cow milking at least six months and milked out immediately before entering judging ring.
Aggregate points for most successful exhibitor to be calculated on the following basis: First 5, Second 3, Third 1, 5 points for each champion, 3 points for each reserve champion. In the event of a tie, fourth, fifth and sixth placings to be taken into consideration. Champions are drawn from first placegetters only within the eligible classes.
Judging starts at 9.30am sharp. All ages of animals and Junior Handlers to date from January 1st.

a) Cows exhibited in the Type and production Class must be exhibited in their respective Age Classes.
b) Lactation must be completed during the 15 months prior to the 28th February in the year of the Competition. In the case of cows completing two lactation's during the prescribed period, the owner MUST use the last lactation.
c) Points awarded for -TYPE (maximum 100) PRODUCTION (1 point for every 2 kg of protein over standard for age).
d) It will be the responsibility of exhibitors to obtain Production Certificates and forward them to the State Secretary with their entry form. (Name of animal to be included on entry form).

EXHIBITORS - PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY
1. SCRATCHINGS - Must be notified to the stewards before 9am on the day of judging.
2. JOHNE’S DISEASE - If the herd status for Johne’s Disease is infected or suspect, entries will not be accepted. Every effort will be made by the Society to segregate those exhibits with MN1 status or better. For those MN1 cattle exhibitors requiring segregation, official documentation from the Department of Primary Industries confirming the Johne’s Disease herd status must accompany the entries. In the event of a herd having a reactor, entry fees only will be refunded to exhibitor.
3. DNA – Random testing of cattle may apply.
4. PROPERTY IDENTIFICATION - PIRSA require PIC numbers so they can show a transfer of cattle onto the show grounds and off again, for their records.
5. JUDGING COMMENCES - 9.30am SHARP.
6. PENALTY - The Mt Pleasant Show Society will impose a penalty of up to $100 for any Exhibitor found disposing of surplus milk on the grounds, or into drains, anywhere on the Show grounds.
7. ANIMAL BEDDING – Exhibitors are to bring their own straw, however this needs to be limited and needs to be moved into the centre of the shed/isle before leaving.
